Last Chance Forever joins the Peregrine Fund in urging hunters to stop using lead ammunition. This excellent film explains why lead bullets are a threat to wildlife (and that we also ingest quite a bit of lead from an animal hunted that way), and how copper bullets are also more effective. The threat discussed in the film is not just theoretical. In the past several weeks, Last Chance Forever received three Bald Eagles, which scavenge heavily and often may consume the remains from hunted carcasses left in the field, with extremely high lead levels.
